Global Impact Transformation (GIT), through its flagship Vijana Impact Hub initiative, has taken another significant step in strengthening Tanzania’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. In partnership with the Institute of Social Work (ISW) Innovation Hub, GIT officially launched the ISW Future Innovators & Entrepreneurs Program (FIEP) during the 2025 Orientation Week for new students. The program received an overwhelming response, with 119 students registering during the launch, demonstrating strong enthusiasm and readiness among young people to acquire innovation and digital entrepreneurship skills. This milestone reflects GIT’s commitment to building a pipeline of youth innovators equipped to solve local and national challenges.

The Future Innovators & Entrepreneurs Program (FIEP) is designed to provide first year students with early exposure to the essential competencies needed in today’s rapidly evolving digital economy. Through a blended and practical learning model, students will engage in:
• Digital Design Thinking and Human-Centered Innovation
• Creative Problem-Solving and Prototyping
• AI-supported Ideation and Creativity Tools
• Digital Entrepreneurship and Business Model Development
• Innovation Challenges and Real-World Project Development
By embedding innovation training at the beginning of the academic journey, FIEP equips students with practical skills, confidence, and a mindset of creativity that will support them throughout their studies and future careers.
The collaboration between GIT and the ISW Innovation Hub is aligned with the national agenda of expanding digital skills, strengthening youth participation in innovation, and fostering locally led solutions. Through the Vijana Impact Hub, GIT is building a wider ecosystem of partners including universities, youth-led organizations, and private-sector actors to promote youth-driven problem-solving.
