Global Impact Transformation (GIT) has joined national partners as one of the lead organizers of the Tanzania Emerging Youth Awards (TEYA) 2025, a national platform dedicated to recognizing and celebrating outstanding youth leadership and innovation. The event, which will take place on 22 November 2025 at Mlimani City Conference Hall in Dar es Salaam, will bring together stakeholders from civil society and the private sector to honour young people who are driving positive change across Tanzania.
A National Partnership to Champion Youth Voices

The 2025 edition of TEYA will be convened through a powerful national collaboration led by the Emerging Generation Initiative (EGI) in partnership with the Prime Minister’s Office (Labour, Youth, Employment and Persons with Disability), the National Council of NGOs (NaCoNGO), Global Impact Transformation (GIT) and others. This alliance embodies a collective commitment to advancing youth inclusion in national development and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Tanzania’s Vision 2050 through youth-driven innovation.
Now in its fifth year, TEYA has evolved into one of Tanzania’s most prestigious youth empowerment platforms, honoring young change makers who are driving sustainable development, inclusion, and innovation across diverse sectors.
Held under the theme Youth-Led Innovation for a Sustainable Future the Awards will spotlight youth-driven solutions contributing to climate action, peace building, gender equality, digital innovation, public health, and entrepreneurship. The event is expected to gather over 500 participants including development partners, civil society organizations, social entrepreneurs, and youth leaders united by a shared commitment to accelerating progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Tanzania’s Vision 2050.

As part of its role in the 2025 organizing committee, GIT will contribute to event coordination, stakeholder engagement, and pre-event capacity-building dialogues, drawing on its experience in youth empowerment, social innovation, and climate-smart livelihoods. The organization has equipped hundreds of young people with leadership and entrepreneurship skills advancing inclusive growth and local innovation across Tanzania’s regions.
TEYA 2025 will also feature a National Youth Impact Forum, an interactive session that will provide a platform for policy dialogue between youth leaders, government, and development actors. The forum aims to bridge the gap between grassroots innovation and national policy processes, ensuring that youth perspectives inform strategic planning and implementation in alignment with the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the UN Youth, Peace and Security Agenda.
Through this collaboration, GIT and its partners reaffirm their shared commitment to recognizing, inspiring, and investing in Tanzania’s next generation of change makers, young women and men whose courage, creativity, and resilience continue to shape a more equitable and sustainable future.
