After six weeks of intensive learning, collaboration, and innovation, Global Impact Transformation (GIT), in partnership with Her Initiative, is celebrating the successful conclusion of Cohort One of the Digital Business Training Program. As the digital economy expands, young people both women and men are increasingly recognized as agents of change who can harness technology to build businesses, create jobs, and drive community transformation. However, many still face barriers to access, training, and opportunities. To bridge this gap, Global Impact Transformation (GIT), in partnership with Her Initiative, has successfully implemented the Digital Business Training Program, designed to empower youth with future-ready knowledge and competencies. With Cohort One now concluded, the program has already begun to showcase its transformative impact.
Over six weeks, participants embarked on an intensive learning journey that blended technical training with practical business insights. Sessions covered digital entrepreneurship, online business tools, financial literacy, branding, and inclusive leadership. Beyond technical expertise, the program emphasized resilience, innovation, and collaboration equipping participants not only to thrive in the digital economy but also to contribute meaningfully to community transformation. A key highlight of Cohort One was the strong participation of young women, who made up the majority of graduates. Their leadership and creativity reflected the program’s commitment to dismantling barriers and advancing gender equality in digital spaces. At the same time, the involvement of young men enriched the learning environment, fostering collaboration and peer support.
