Nurturing Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurship for a Resilient Future

Tanzania, approximately 1 million young people enter the labor market every year, yet less than 30% are absorbed into formal employment, according to recent estimates from the World Bank and UNDP (2023–2024). This growing gap between job market entrants and available opportunities highlights the urgent need for inclusive, skills-based, and innovation-driven interventions. Responding to this challenge, Global Impact Transformation (GIT) in strategic partnership with Global Peace Foundation Brazil and BESOURO launched Vijana Impact Hub Cohort One, a fully virtual entrepreneurship accelerator designed to equip youth with the tools, mindset, and mentorship to lead, innovate, and thrive in an evolving economy.

This initiative is part of GIT’s long-term commitment to advancing youth empowerment, economic inclusion, and digital innovation, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4, 8, 10, and 17) and the African Union Agenda 2063.

GIT remains committed to sustaining and expanding the Vijana Impact Hub as a flagship platform for youth empowerment. Plans are underway to launch Cohort Two, with a continued focus on equipping young people, including youth with disabilities with the skills, mindset, and networks needed to lead with purpose and innovation.

Through this ongoing investment in youth-led solutions, GIT reaffirms its dedication to fostering inclusive leadership, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable development driven by young people themselves.
