At Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) headquarters hosted a pivotal discussion on the role of male coaches in advancing women’s football in Tanzania. Organized by Global Impact Transformation (GIT) in collaboration with the Tanzania Women’s Football Association (TWFA), this event brought together coaches, players, and key stakeholders from nine women’s football teams to explore how male coaches can drive inclusivity, mentorship, and innovation in the sport. This important forum went beyond traditional discussions, it was a strategic platform to redefine coaching approaches, leverage technology, and foster gender equity in football.
Coaches are not just trainers; they are leaders, role models, and advocates for the athletes they mentor. Male coaches, in particular, play a critical role in challenging stereotypes, promoting inclusivity, and ensuring that women's football is recognized and supported at all levels.The future of women's football in Tanzania depends on our ability to challenge outdated perceptions and invest in structures that empower female athletes, said Somoe Ng'itu, Chairperson of TWFA and FIFA & CAF Match Commissioner.

One of the participating coaches acknowledged the impact of these initiatives, stating: "Coaching women's football is about more than just tactics, its about creating an environment where female players can excel. Thanks to the efforts of TFF and TWFA, we have seen significant progress, but sustained investment and innovation will be key to long-term success"
