The Emerging Generation Initiative, in collaboration with Global Impact Transformation (GIT) and the Ministry responsible for Youth Development, will host the highly anticipated Impact Forum 2026 on 13 April 2026 at Mlimani City, Dar es Salaam. Positioned as a flagship platform for youth engagement, the Forum will bring together a diverse range of stakeholders to advance dialogue, strengthen partnerships, and spotlight transformative youth-led initiatives shaping Tanzania’s development landscape. The Forum comes at a critical moment as Tanzania continues to harness the potential of its growing youth population as a driver of innovation, economic growth, and social transformation. By convening actors from government, development partners, private sector, civil society, and youth-led organizations, the platform will facilitate meaningful exchange, promote cross-sector collaboration, and unlock new opportunities for scaling impactful solutions. It will also serve as a space to elevate youth voices, showcase emerging innovations, and strengthen linkages between ideas, investment, and implementation.

Elevating Youth voices through recognition, innovation, and impact

In line with this focus on elevating youth voices through recognition, innovation, and impact, the Forum will bring together influential leaders and key stakeholders whose engagement reflects a shared commitment to advancing youth development. The participation of high-level leadership reinforces the importance of coordinated action and strategic investment in youth-led initiatives, while creating a platform that connects vision, leadership, and opportunity.

The Forum will be graced by Hon. Dr. Kedmon Mapana, Deputy Permanent Secretary, President’s Office Youth Development, who will serve as Guest of Honor and deliver keynote remarks, emphasizing the importance of collaborative and inclusive approaches to advancing youth development. Impact Forum 2026 will feature a full-day program designed to foster meaningful engagement, knowledge exchange, and strategic collaboration.The event will open with registration and networking, followed by opening remarks and a keynote address. The program will then transition into a series of high-level panel discussions, institutional contributions, and interactive sessions that bring together diverse perspectives, experiences, and innovative ideas.

A key highlight of the Forum will be the multi-sectoral partnerships panel, bringing together leading organizations to explore collaborative approaches to advancing youth empowerment.

Global Impact Transformation will be represented by its Country Lead, Sylvia Mohamed Mkomwa, who will serve as a panelist alongside representatives from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Save the Children, CARE International Tanzania, and Marie Stopes. The session will focus on strengthening partnership models and coordinated approaches to delivering impactful youth program.  Additional panels will feature contributions from organizations across the ecosystem, including UTT AMIS and AIESEC, reflecting a broad and inclusive engagement of institutions working to support youth development.

A central highlight of Impact Forum 2026 will be the awards and recognition segment, dedicated to celebrating young people who are driving meaningful development across communities and sectors.The Forum will include the presentation of trophies to previous award winners, alongside the official launch of the 2026 Awards cycle, opening new opportunities to recognize outstanding youth leadership and innovation. Recognizing youth who are actively shaping solutions and leading initiatives is critical to reinforcing positive pathways, increasing visibility, and inspiring continued engagement. This platform not only celebrates achievement but also motivates the next generation of change makers to step forward.

Impact Forum 2026 is supported by a strong network of partners contributing to its delivery and impact, including Save the Children, CARE International, GFI Trucks and Equipment, Coca-Cola, Fiqra Impact, Unit Trust of Tanzania Asset Management and Investor Services (UTT AMIS) and SINES Tanzania. Impact Forum 2026 reflects a collective effort to strengthen youth voices, foster collaboration, and advance innovative solutions that contribute to inclusive and sustainable development.
