Global Impact Transformation (GIT), in partnership with Her Initiative, is proud to announce the official launch of Cohort Three of the Digital Business Training Program, marking another important milestone in the joint commitment to empowering youth through innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive economic participation. Building on the success of previous cohorts, the launch of Cohort Three reflects the shared vision of GIT and Her Initiative to equip young people particularly women and underserved youth with practical digital skills, entrepreneurial knowledge, and the confidence needed to thrive in an increasingly digital economy. As digital transformation continues to reshape livelihoods and economic opportunities, this initiative seeks to ensure that young people are not left behind, but are positioned as drivers of innovation, job creation, and sustainable development within their communities

The Digital Business Training Program was developed to respond to persistent challenges faced by young people, including unemployment, limited access to digital skills, and barriers to entrepreneurship. Through a structured, hands-on learning approach, the program has supported participants to strengthen business ideas, enhance digital literacy, and explore sustainable income-generating opportunities.
Cohort one and two recorded notable impact, demonstrating the effectiveness of the partnership between GIT and Her Initiative. Participants reported:
• Improved understanding of digital business models and online market engagement
• Increased confidence in using digital tools for branding, marketing, and customer outreach
• Strengthened entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills
• Greater participation of young women in business and leadership spaces
• Development of early-stage business ideas with potential for growth and sustainability
Several participants went on to apply their newly acquired skills to expand existing ventures, launch new initiatives, or improve the visibility of their businesses through digital platforms. The cohort also fostered strong peer networks that continue to support collaboration and knowledge exchange beyond the training period. These outcomes laid a strong foundation for scaling the program and informed the design of Cohort Three.
Cohort Three builds on this momentum through a comprehensive learning model that integrates technical knowledge, innovation, and mentorship. The program focuses on:
• Digital entrepreneurship and innovation, including online business development and digital marketing
• Business and financial literacy, supporting sustainable enterprise growth
• Mentorship and peer learning, creating a supportive ecosystem for young entrepreneurs
• Practical application, enabling participants to test ideas and apply skills in real-world contexts
This approach ensures that participants not only gain knowledge but also develop the confidence, adaptability, and resilience required to succeed in today’s dynamic economic environment.
A central pillar of the GIT– Her Initiative partnership is the promotion of inclusive development. Cohort Three continues to prioritize the meaningful participation of young women and marginalized youth who often face systemic barriers to accessing economic opportunities.
By fostering inclusive learning spaces and promoting youth leadership, the program strengthens participants’ agency, amplifies their voices, and supports the development of locally driven solutions. This aligns with both organizations’ commitment to gender equality, youth empowerment, and sustainable development.
The Digital Business Training Program is designed to generate impact that extends beyond the classroom. Through continued mentorship, networking, and knowledge-sharing, participants are supported to:
• Apply digital skills to strengthen livelihoods
• Develop scalable and community-responsive business ideas
• Contribute to local economic development and job creation
• Engage in peer support and collaborative learning
• Serve as role models and change agents within their communities
GIT and Her Initiative remain committed to documenting lessons learned, strengthening partnerships, and expanding opportunities for youth-led innovation across Tanzania and beyond.
The launch of Cohort Three represents a continued commitment by Global Impact Transformation and Her Initiative to invest in youth as catalysts for economic transformation and inclusive growth. As the program progresses, both organizations will continue to amplify success stories, strengthen institutional partnerships, and support young people to translate ideas into sustainable impact.Through initiatives such as the Digital Business Training Program, GIT and Her Initiative reaffirm their shared vision: empowering young people with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to shape a more inclusive, innovative, and resilient future.
