Global Impact Transformation (GIT), through its flagship Vijana Impact Hub, is advancing decisively from vision to action through the implementation of the Future Innovators & Entrepreneurs Program (FIEP) a bold, youth-centered initiative integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital innovation, and entrepreneurship as core drivers of inclusive development. Implemented in collaboration with the Institute of Social Work (ISW) Innovation Hub, with YANA CORP serving as the Technical Partner, this phase marks a critical transition from program design and launch into structured, results-oriented delivery. The implementation of FIEP reflects GIT’s long-term commitment to future-ready human capital development, youth leadership, and locally driven innovation ecosystems, aligned with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the African Union’s Agenda 2063, and the global imperative to Leave No One Behind

Across Africa, young people constitute the largest demographic group, yet continue to face systemic barriers to decent work, entrepreneurship opportunities, and participation in the digital economy. Rapid technological advancement, particularly the rise of AI and digital platforms is reshaping labor markets and redefining the skills required to compete and innovate. Without deliberate, inclusive investment, these shifts risk deepening inequality and exclusion.
The Future Innovators & Entrepreneurs Program responds directly to this challenge by positioning youth not as beneficiaries of digital transformation, but as co-creators of solutions, innovators, and ethical users of emerging technologies. By embedding AI, innovation, and entrepreneurship into practical learning pathways, GIT is strengthening youth capacity to navigate complexity, respond to community challenges, and contribute meaningfully to economic and social transformation.
AI and Innovation as Catalysts for Youth-Led Transformation
The implementation of FIEP places AI and innovation at the center of youth empowerment, recognizing their growing influence across education, enterprise, governance, and social development. Through the technical leadership of YANA CORP, participants are exposed to applied AI tools, digital platforms, and innovation methodologies that move beyond theory into practice.
Youth engage in structured learning experiences that emphasize:
- AI-supported ideation and creative problem-solving
- Human-centered and ethical innovation principles
- Digital product and service development
- Entrepreneurial thinking and market-oriented design
- Responsible and inclusive use of emerging technologies
This approach equips young people with adaptive, transferable skills that are relevant across sectors and future labor markets, while fostering a culture of innovation rooted in social responsibility and community impact.
Inclusive Reach: Engaging In-School and Out-of-School Youth
The implementation of the Future Innovators & Entrepreneurs Program is grounded in clear participation targets, gender-disaggregated data, and accountability mechanisms. At the initial implementation site, the program will directly engage 102 students including those with disabilities, from Institute of Social Work (ISW), reflecting GIT’s commitment to evidence-based programming and measurable outcomes.
Of these participants:
- 60 are female students, intentionally advancing girls’ and young women’s leadership in AI, innovation, and digital entrepreneurship;
- 42 are male students, ensuring balanced and inclusive youth engagement.
This gender-responsive design directly supports global commitments to gender equality and women’s economic empowerment, particularly in technology and innovation sectors where women and girls remain significantly underrepresented. By prioritizing inclusive participation from the outset, GIT is addressing structural barriers and promoting equitable access to future economic opportunities.
A defining strength of FIEP is its inclusive implementation model, which intentionally reaches both in-school and out-of-school youth. This approach recognizes that formal education pathways alone are insufficient to meet the diverse needs of young people, many of whom face economic, geographic, or social barriers to participation.
As implementation progresses, GIT will roll out the program across 10 schools in five regions of Tanzania, Dar es Salaam, Tanga, Mtwara, Kigoma, and Kilimanjaro with two schools per region. In parallel, out-of-school youth will be engaged through community-based innovation activities, flexible learning formats, and open digital platforms, ensuring that young people outside formal institutions are not left behind.
